Job Description

PAY RATE : $12.45 per hour  (Up to 1,500 hours per year)

Candidates must be 18 years of age or older or high school graduate and have a valid Michigan Driver's License

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Work activities in this position primarily involve the maintenance of park grounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The list below is intended to describe the general nature of duties only. Employee shall perform other duties as assigned.

• Performs grounds maintenance around the pool, marina, and shore areas.
• Empties trash barrels.
• Picks up litter using a prod or by hand.
• Maintains and weeds flower beds.
• Cleans picnic areas, restrooms, and roadsides.
• Operates push mower and weed whip to maintain lawn areas.
• Operates golf cart and utility vehicles.
• Operates light riding mower to maintain lawns.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work varied hours depending upon park demands.
• Ability to traverse sandy, marshy or wooded areas with even or uneven terrain.
• Ability to get along with co-workers, supervisors and park visitors.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Ability to load, unload and move materials from one location to another.
